The rand function is passed a maximum value based on the process id, the epoch time and the reference address of the object, but this information will have no effect on the overall quality of the seed of the message digest.\n\nThe rand function is seeded by 32-bits and is predictable. It is considered unsuitable for cryptographic purposes.\n\nPredictable session ids could allow an attacker to gain access to systems.\n\nNote that WebDyne::Session versions 1.042 and earlier appear to be in separate distributions from WebDyne."}],"affected":[{"source":"9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e","affectedData":[{"vendor":"ASPEER","product":"WebDyne::Session","defaultStatus":"unaffected","collectionURL":"https://cpan.org/modules","packageName":"WebDyne","programFiles":["lib/WebDyne/Session.pm"],"programRoutines":[{"name":"WebDyne::Session::handler"}],"repo":"https://github.com/aspeer/WebDyne","versions":[{"version":"0","lessThan":"3.003_704","versionType":"custom","status":"affected"}]}]}],"metrics":{"cvssMetricV31":[{"source":"134c704f-9b21-4f2e-91b3-4a467353bcc0","type":"Secondary","cvssData":{"version":"3.1","vectorString":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N","baseScore":6.5,"baseSeverity":"MEDIUM","attackVector":"NETWORK","attackComplexity":"LOW","privilegesRequired":"NONE","userInteraction":"NONE","scope":"UNCHANGED","confidentialityImpact":"LOW","integrityImpact":"LOW","availabilityImpact":"NONE"},"exploitabilityScore":3.9,"impactScore":2.5}],"ssvcV203":[{"source":"134c704f-9b21-4f2e-91b3-4a467353bcc0","ssvcData":{"timestamp":"2026-05-11T16:24:24.075813Z","id":"CVE-2026-5084","options":[{"exploitation":"none"},{"automatable":"yes"},{"technicalImpact":"partial"}],"role":"CISA Coordinator","version":"2.0.3"}}]},"weaknesses":[{"source":"9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e","type":"Secondary","description":[{"lang":"en","value":"CWE-338"},{"lang":"en","value":"CWE-340"}]}],"references":[{"url":"https://github.com/aspeer/WebDyne/commit/7a3f949dc24e62a276eb0db629db64aca356e954.patch","source":"9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e"},{"url":"https://metacpan.org/release/ASPEER/WebDyne-2.075/source/lib/WebDyne/Session.pm#L120","source":"9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e"},{"url":"https://security.metacpan.org/docs/guides/random-data-for-security.html","source":"9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e"},{"url":"https://webdyne.org","source":"9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e"},{"url":"http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2026/05/11/3","source":"af854a3a-2127-422b-91ae-364da2661108"}]}},{"cve":{"id":"CVE-2026-12231","sourceIdentifier":"security@wordfence.com","published":"2026-08-02T09:16:33.580","lastModified":"2026-08-02T09:16:33.580","vulnStatus":"Received","cveTags":[],"descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"The Exclusive Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the ‘ exad_infobox_image’ parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.7.9.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping.
