An unauthenticated attacker can store a crafted, base64-encoded serialized object in wp_comments.comment_content through the standard comment-submission endpoint (wp-comments-post.php). When an administrator subsequently performs a routine Prime Mover export or restore, the plugin base64-decodes that stored value and passes it to unserialize() with no allowed_classes restriction. A Property-Oriented Programming (POP) chain is present in the plugin's own bundled Freemius library (FS_Clone_Manager::__set → FS_Option_Manager::set_option → store() → update_option()), so no additional plugin or theme is required — the plugin ships the gadget itself."}],"affected":[{"source":"security@wordfence.com","affectedData":[{"vendor":"codexonics","product":"Prime Mover – Backup and Migration","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"0","lessThanOrEqual":"2.2.1","versionType":"semver","status":"affected"}]}]}],"metrics":{"cvssMetricV31":[{"source":"security@wordfence.com","type":"Primary","cvssData":{"version":"3.1","vectorString":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","baseScore":9.8,"baseSeverity":"CRITICAL","attackVector":"NETWORK","attackComplexity":"LOW","privilegesRequired":"NONE","userInteraction":"NONE","scope":"UNCHANGED","confidentialityImpact":"HIGH","integrityImpact":"HIGH","availabilityImpact":"HIGH"},"exploitabilityScore":3.9,"impactScore":5.9}]},"weaknesses":[{"source":"security@wordfence.com","type":"Primary","description":[{"lang":"en","value":"CWE-502"}]}],"references":[{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/prime-mover/tags/2.2.1/utilities/PrimeMoverSearchReplace.php#L1281","source":"security@wordfence.com"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/prime-mover/tags/2.2.1/utilities/PrimeMoverSearchReplace.php#L391","source":"security@wordfence.com"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/prime-mover/tags/2.2.1/utilities/PrimeMoverSearchReplace.php#L422","source":"security@wordfence.com"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/prime-mover/tags/2.2.1/utilities/PrimeMoverSearchReplace.php#L899","source":"security@wordfence.com"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/prime-mover/tags/2.2.1/vendor/freemius/includes/managers/class-fs-clone-manager.php#L1636","source":"security@wordfence.com"},{"url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/prime-mover/tags/2.2.1/vendor/freemius/includes/managers/class-fs-option-manager.php#L414","source":"security@wordfence.com"},{"url":"https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/ab6ebd66-c7a4-402e-b51e-3f1f3183bd97?source=cve","source":"security@wordfence.com"}]}}]}
