As seen in the later part of the function, skb = fmdev->resp_skb;\nwhen the invalid fmdev->resp_skb passes the check, a null pointer\ndereference error may occur at line 478, evt_hdr = (void *)skb->data;\n\nTo address this issue, it is recommended to include the validity check of\nfmdev->resp_skb within the locked section of the function. This\nmodification ensures that the value of fmdev->resp_skb does not change\nduring the validation process, thereby maintaining its validity.\n\nThis possible bug is found by an experimental static analysis tool\ndeveloped by our team. This tool analyzes the locking APIs\nto extract function pairs that can be concurrently executed, and then\nanalyzes the instructions in the paired functions to identify possible\nconcurrency bugs including data races and atomicity violations."},{"lang":"es","value":"En el kernel de Linux, se ha resuelto la siguiente vulnerabilidad: media: wl128x: Se corrige la violación de atomicidad en fmc_send_cmd() La violación de atomicidad ocurre cuando la función fmc_send_cmd() se ejecuta simultáneamente con la modificación del valor fmdev->resp_skb. Considere un escenario donde, después de pasar la verificación de validez dentro de la función, a una variable fmdev->resp_skb no nula se le asigna un valor nulo. Esto da como resultado una variable fmdev->resp_skb no válida que pasa la verificación de validez. Como se ve en la parte posterior de la función, skb = fmdev->resp_skb; cuando la fmdev->resp_skb no válida pasa la verificación, puede ocurrir un error de desreferencia de puntero nulo en la línea 478, evt_hdr = (void *)skb->data; Para solucionar este problema, se recomienda incluir la comprobación de validez de fmdev->resp_skb dentro de la sección bloqueada de la función. Esta modificación garantiza que el valor de fmdev->resp_skb no cambie durante el proceso de validación, manteniendo así su validez. Este posible error se detecta mediante una herramienta de análisis estático experimental desarrollada por nuestro equipo. Esta herramienta analiza las API de bloqueo para extraer pares de funciones que se pueden ejecutar simultáneamente y, a continuación, analiza las instrucciones en las funciones emparejadas para identificar posibles errores de concurrencia, incluidas las ejecucións de datos y las violaciones de atomicidad."}],"metrics":{"cvssMetricV31":[{"source":"nvd@nist.gov","type":"Primary","cvssData":{"version":"3.1","vectorString":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","baseScore":5.5,"baseSeverity":"MEDIUM","attackVector":"LOCAL","attackComplexity":"LOW","privilegesRequired":"LOW","userInteraction":"NONE","scope":"UNCHANGED","confidentialityImpact":"NONE","integrityImpact":"NONE","availabilityImpact":"HIGH"},"exploitabilityScore":1.8,"impactScore":3.6}]},"weaknesses":[{"source":"nvd@nist.gov","type":"Primary","description":[{"lang":"en","value":"CWE-476"}]}],"configurations":[{"nodes":[{"operator":"OR","negate":false,"cpeMatch":[{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"2.6.39","versionEndExcluding":"4.19.325","matchCriteriaId":"0C7770FA-B486-4531-9A29-FE9BC1D2E0D9"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"4.20","versionEndExcluding":"5.4.287","matchCriteriaId":"E4B15788-D35E-4E5B-A9C0-070AE3729B34"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"5.5","versionEndExcluding":"5.10.231","matchCriteriaId":"B5C644CC-2BD7-4E32-BC54-8DCC7ABE9935"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"5.11","versionEndExcluding":"5.15.174","matchCriteriaId":"419FD073-1517-4FD5-8158-F94BC68A1E89"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"5.16","versionEndExcluding":"6.1.120","matchCriteriaId":"09AC6122-E2A4-40FE-9D33-268A1B2EC265"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"6.2","versionEndExcluding":"6.6.64","matchCriteriaId":"CA16DEE3-ABEC-4449-9F4A-7A3DC4FC36C7"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"6.7","versionEndExcluding":"6.11.11","matchCriteriaId":"21434379-192D-472F-9B54-D45E3650E893"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"6.12","versionEndExcluding":"6.12.2","matchCriteriaId":"D8882B1B-2ABC-4838-AC1D-DBDBB5764776"}]}]}],"references":[{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2e63c908de357048180516b84740ed62dac0b269","source":"416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67","tags":["Patch"]},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/372dc9509122e5d45d4c12978e31c3c7d00aaca4","source":"416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67","tags":["Patch"]},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/378ce4e08ca2b1ac7bbf1d57b68643ca4226c5f8","source":"416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67","tags":["Patch"]},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/3c818ad07e964bca3d27adac1e1f50e1e3c9180e","source":"416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67","tags":["Patch"]},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/80a3b2ee01eecf22dfa06968b3cde92c691dea10","source":"416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67","tags":["Patch"]},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ca59f9956d4519ab18ab2270be47c6b8c6ced091","source":"416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67","tags":["Patch"]},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d16109c9fdc1b8cea4fe63b42e06e926c3f68990","source":"416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67","tags":["Patch"]},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d7408a052aa1b4f6fb6f1c7a8877b84017a07ac9","source":"416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67","tags":["Patch"]},{"url":"https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ed228b74d8a500380150965d5becabf9a1e33141","source":"416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67","tags":["Patch"]},{"url":"https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2025/03/msg00001.html","source":"af854a3a-2127-422b-91ae-364da2661108"},{"url":"https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2025/03/msg00002.html","source":"af854a3a-2127-422b-91ae-364da2661108"}]}}]}
